سبيل — Sabeel

The road, and the water given free to whoever is on it. The logo does not illustrate that — the word already carries it: its connecting stroke is stretched into the road, and its own three dots fall as drops.

Direction A, chosen by Obai Sukar. Built on a name that has not yet been trademark-searched in Syria.

01

The logo

Three arrangements, one drawing. The Arabic always leads; SABEEL never sits above it.

Stacked — the default
Horizontal — for bands and headers
Arabic only — when the English is elsewhere
White on Ink
One colour — stamps, thermal, fax
App icon — the word's own drops
Avatar — survives a circular crop
02

Space and size

Clear space on every side = x, the height of one drop at the size used.

The minimums are choices made here from how the drops render, not from a standard. They can be moved; they should not be ignored.

Don't

Don't stretch or squash it
Don't swap the drops for ordinary dots
No amber on light grounds — 2.08:1
Never put SABEEL above the Arabic
03

Colour

Three colours. Amber is the light on a dark road — it only ever appears on Ink.

The light ground — never cream. All text on Ink.

Print matches (CMYK, Pantone, RAL) are not set: they are agreed from a physical proof against these values, not converted by formula.

04

Type

Three open-licence families — free for commercial use, signs and logos included (SIL Open Font License).

Noto Kufi Arabic — the logo, headings, signs
IBM Plex Sans Arabic — text, tables, receipts
IBM Plex Sans — the English, always second
05

Pictograms

Seventeen, drawn solid on one grid so they carry the same weight as the lettering and read from a moving car.
